Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AskLibra ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website and services at asklibra.com (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways:

  • Account information: When you sign in with Google or another provider, we may receive information such as your name, email address, and profile image.
  • Connected platform and Google Workspace data: When you connect a supported platform or Google Workspace service, we may access data according to the permissions you grant. This may include YouTube performance metrics, Gmail message and thread content needed for lead follow-up and reply monitoring, and Google Calendar information needed for calendar selection and appointment booking.
  • Usage and analytics data: We may collect technical information such as IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, and actions taken within the Service for analytics, reliability, and security purposes.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Provide connected-platform functionality requested by you, including lead follow-up, reply monitoring, appointment booking, analytics, reports, and other supported workflows.
  • Analyze content and account activity to generate insights, recommendations, reports, and user-requested outputs.
  • Provide AI-assisted features, including drafting or generating content where requested as part of a user-facing workflow.
  • Improve product features, usability, reliability, and overall user experience.
  • Communicate with you about product updates, changes, support requests, and service-related matters.
  • Protect our users and the Service from abuse, fraud, misuse, and security threats.

3. Legal bases (if you are in the EU/EEA)

If applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, we generally rely on:

  • Contract: Processing that is necessary to provide the Service you sign up for or request.
  • Legitimate interests: Improving our product, maintaining security, preventing abuse, and understanding how the Service is used.
  • Consent: Where required for connected accounts, platform permissions, certain analytics, marketing activities, or other optional processing.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Service providers: Carefully selected vendors who help us with hosting, infrastructure, analytics, error monitoring, customer support, automation, and other operational services.
  • Platform partners: For example, Google, YouTube, or other platforms where you connect an account or authorize access so that we can provide the requested functionality.
  • AI service providers: Relevant user data may be processed by third-party AI services when necessary to provide user-facing AI-assisted functionality. Google Workspace data is not transferred for the purpose of creating, training, or improving generalized or foundational AI or machine-learning models.
  • Legal or safety reasons: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, systems, or the public.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security and operational records.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, the feature involved, contractual requirements, and applicable law. Where third-party service providers process data on our behalf, their applicable retention and data-handling practices may also apply.

You may request deletion of your account data, subject to applicable legal, security, operational, and record-retention requirements.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:

  • Accessing the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correcting inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Requesting deletion of your information.
  • Objecting to or restricting certain processing.
  • Requesting a portable copy of certain data.
  • Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live. Where required by applicable law, we take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

9. Children's privacy

AskLibra is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

10. Google Workspace API Data and Limited Use

AskLibra may access Google Workspace data only when a user connects a Google account and grants the requested permissions.

Depending on the features the user chooses to enable, this data may include Gmail message or thread content needed for lead follow-up and reply monitoring, as well as Google Calendar information needed for calendar selection, appointment creation, and appointment updates.

Google Workspace data is used only to provide user-facing features requested by the user, such as sending lead follow-up emails, monitoring replies, selecting a destination Google Calendar, and creating or updating appointment events.

AskLibra's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Raw or derived Google Workspace API data is not used by AskLibra to create, train, or improve generalized or foundational artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Where Google Workspace data is processed by third-party service providers, including AI service providers, it is transferred only as necessary to provide the requested user-facing functionality and is subject to applicable data-use, security, privacy, and retention safeguards.

AskLibra does not sell Google Workspace API data or use it for advertising purposes.

11. Third-party AI processing

Certain AskLibra features may use third-party artificial intelligence services to process information needed to provide a user-requested feature. For example, relevant email content and conversation context may be processed by an AI service when necessary to generate or assist with a lead follow-up or email response.

AskLibra uses such services only as necessary to provide the requested functionality. Google Workspace API data is not intentionally provided to third-party AI services for the purpose of training, developing, or improving generalized or foundational AI models.

12. Connected account permissions

Access to connected services is based on permissions you explicitly grant. AskLibra requests access only for functionality that requires that permission.

You may revoke Google account access at any time through your Google Account permissions or by disconnecting the applicable integration within AskLibra where that option is available. Revoking access may prevent connected features from continuing to operate.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Service, by email, or as otherwise required by law.
